Dr. Loïc Brevault completed a Ph.D. in 2015 at CNES and ONERA on Multidisciplinary Design Optimization under uncertainties. He has a position of ""chargé de recherche"" and his responsible for the scientific thematic “Safety and Security of Cyber-Physical Systems”. He is specialist of uncertainty quantifications and his research activities focus on surrogate models, multi-physics system and design of launch vehicle. He contributes to the development of methodologies and capitalization mainly through open-source libraries (OpenTURNS, FELIN). He is lecturer at Ecole Polytechnique, ISAE-Supaero, INSA-Rennes. He is author of 1 book, 5 book chapters, 22 journal papers and 33 conference papers. He supervised 8 PhD theses and 2 post-docs.

Dr. Balesdent and Dr. Brevault have collaborated French Space Agency (CNES), UK-Space agency, several European industrials (ArianeGroup, Reaction Engines) inside projects dealing with the design of new reusable launch vehicles architectures. In addition, they have a large number of collaboration with academics (Ecole Polytechnique, ISAE – Supaero, Ecole des Mines de St Etienne, INRIA, University of Florida, University of Arizona, NASA).
